Our Beginnings
With only a few pesos and a dream of breaking free from the 9-5, Ericka Peña built ABU-EMP. Her firsthand experience with entrepreneurial challenges drives her commitment to helping others succeed.
Determined to have a sustainable income and help her family, Ericka worked her way up by humbly seeking mentors and opportunities, all while learning the ins and outs of the finance industry.
With the help of people who believed in her and the little money she saved, Ericka immediately decided to launch a lending company from her tiny office, with only a phone, a stack of paperwork, and determination to make it work.
Because of her unwavering determination, she launched ABU-EMP Unlimited Credit Resources Inc., on August 4, 2011.
Building ABU-EMP was not easy— it took a lot of hardships, dealing with the bureaucracy, rejections, and failures to get to where it is now.
Grateful for the opportunity to succeed in life, Ericka led ABU-EMP to dedicate itself to helping Filipino entrepreneurs achieve success through collateral-free loans without dealing with a lot of paperwork.
Who We Are Now
Originally established as ABU-EMP Unlimited Credit Resources Inc., the company secured its secondary license as a lending company with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on October 1, 2011 (Certificate of Authority No. 1057). Building on this success, ABU-EMP Unlimited Credit Resources Inc., – now ABU-EMP Financing Inc. – obtained a financing license on September 6, 2022 (Certificate of Authority No. 1307). These licenses signify the company’s unwavering commitment to empowering businesses and helping them break free from financial limitations.
Ericka and her daughter Meryl continue the legacy of ABU-EMP, blending experience with innovation to ushered the company into the future.
Inheriting her mother's unwavering determination, Meryl has embraced the role of CEO and President. Under her leadership, ABU-EMP has been led into the new age wherein financial conversations are no longer transactional, but rather served with a human touch.
The recently held “Limitless” Sales Kickoff, proved ABU-EMP’s dedication and commitment to foster growth and collaboration, not only with business consultants, but also with the symbiotic community of ABU-EMP’s clients and business partners.
