ABU-EMP recently held its annual Sales Kickoff event themed "Momentum," setting the tone for what promises to be a year of action, growth, and unparalleled success.

The event brought together employees, business consultants, and key stakeholders to ignite collective energy and focus on building from previous achievements to reach new heights in 2025.

This year marks ABU-EMP’s 14th year of empowering Filipino entrepreneurs through non-collateral business loans.

What started as a small, ambitious team has grown into a company making a major impact in the business lending space. When CEO Meryl Ting joined the company in 2016, ABU-EMP had only six or seven employees. Today, that number has grown to 37 dedicated team members, with even more on the horizon as the company expands to serve more entrepreneurs across the Philippines.

Last year’s theme, “Limitless,” encouraged the team to dream big and embrace infinite possibilities. This year’s theme, “Momentum,” is a natural evolution—a call to action for every member of the ABU-EMP family to build on the success of the past, take decisive action, and create unstoppable progress moving forward.

During her keynote speech, CEO Meryl Ting emphasized the power of the present moment and the responsibility each team member holds to seize opportunities as they come.

“It’s about fueling the moment, being in the present (and) doing what we can do best in that present moment,” she said.
